Glossy Sealer for Zinc- and Zinc-alloys.
Features and Benefits
After application and drying, Lubsil S185 forms an almost invisible, transparent seal with excellent corrosion protection - particularly suitable for passivated zinc and zinc alloys. Black passivated surfaces experience a boost in appearance.

Typical Applications
- Developed for coating and sealing zinc and zinc alloy substrates
- Compatible with all common passivations (blue, yellow, black, olive, etc.)
- Particularly efficient with Cr(VI)-free passivations
Application Remarks
- Lubsil S185 is supplied ready for use and can be diluted with demineralized water if necessary (10-100% make up concentration).
- Parts to be coated must be free of grease.
- For optimum film formation, it is recommended to preheat the parts to 30-50 °C.
- Typical application process: Dip-spin process with coating centrifuges, alternatively drum coating or rack application
- After application, drying at 50-180 °C with hot air (e.g. chamber or continuous oven) is required.
- To avoid condensation, the parts should not be packaged until they have cooled down completely.

- The pH value of the solution should be checked regularly and always kept above 8.
- Avoid drag-in from previous process steps.
- Check the concentration of the bath regularly (exact instructions on request).
- Avoid strong agitation, as foaming may occur. Suitable defoamer: Lubsil AF-L
- Protect from frost!
